Introduction
These days, Bluetooth speakers come in all shapes and sizes — but the MT Bluetooth Speaker stands out for its compact form and surprisingly premium build.
It’s small enough to sit in the palm of your hand, yet it feels solid and well made. But does it sound as good as it looks? I’ve been testing it out, and here’s what I found.

You get the essentials — no unnecessary extras, just what you need to get up and running.
Features & Specifications
The MT Speaker is designed to be simple, compact, and convenient. It connects via Bluetooth 5.0 with a range of up to 10 metres, making it quick and easy to pair with your phone, tablet, or laptop. It’s rated at 3 watts, and although the speaker itself is small — more like a tweeter — the sound quality is actually quite decent for casual use.
There’s no SD card slot, no USB playback, and no FM radio. This is a speaker built purely for wireless streaming. There’s also support for TWS pairing (though I haven’t had a second unit to test this with), and the IPX5 waterproof rating suggests it should handle the odd splash, though again, I didn’t test this feature myself.
Design & Build
Where the MT really shines is in its build quality. Despite being lightweight at just 31 grams, it has a metal body and speaker grille that give it a much more expensive feel than you’d expect. The base is made from plastic, but it still feels sturdy and well put together.
The power button feels satisfying to press, and the simple LED indicators do the job — blue for Bluetooth status, red for charging. It also gives you an audible warning when the battery is running low, which is a handy touch.
Its minimalist design means it blends in anywhere — whether on a desk, bedside table, or tossed in a bag. The lanyard adds a bit of extra practicality for travel or outdoor use.
Additional Specifications
The speaker connects under the Bluetooth name “MT”, and its dimensions are roughly 31mm across by 29mm high. I estimate the actual speaker driver inside to be about 20mm wide and 10mm deep, though I haven’t opened it up to confirm.
It’s powered by a built-in 3.7V 200mAh battery, which charges in around an hour using a 5V 2A power source. Once charged, you’ll get around 2 to 3 hours of playback, depending on volume and usage.
While charging, a red LED stays on. It flashes when nearly full, and turns off completely once the battery is topped up. When connected via Bluetooth, the blue light flashes. When disconnected, it stays solid.
Final Thoughts
The MT Bluetooth Speaker isn’t going to blow you away with bass, but that’s not what it’s designed for. It’s built for convenience, portability, and simplicity — and in those areas, it absolutely delivers.
Sound quality is clear and pleasant for spoken word, podcasts, or background music. It’s never going to fill a room, but it’ll do nicely in close quarters. The overall build is excellent for the price, and the compact size means you’ll barely notice it in your bag or pocket.
If you’re after a tiny speaker that looks good, sounds decent, and doesn’t break the bank, the MT is well worth a look.
